in your house!!
i decided to get a 55 gallon tank and i cant decide what fish i want. i got some ideas id like in my siggy but not for sure. i know GBR's have to be in for sure but im not sure about the others. and what about shrimp could they go in the tank? i saw cherry and bamboo shrimp and they looked cool:grinyes: any suggestions would be great! thx!

Angelfish are really nice and a 55 gal is a nice size tank. Start off with 6 juvies and you may get a couple of pairs. Plecosomus are also a nessecity as well as a couple of cory cat fish.

if you are going the plant route which you are get a long fin albino bristlenose pleco...they are a little bit more expensive at the lfs but if you find a breeder on here its worth it. In a 55 I'd get 2 as for plants make sure your lightly in PLENTY almost to the point where I'd suggest gettin power compacts cause if you get a dual bulb fixture and put plant lights in there you still won't even hit 2 watts per gallon..with power compacts you um get anywhere from 3-6 watts per gallon..just make sure you fert and get some co2 pumping..your tank will be beautiful in no time

I really like the stocking in your signiture-- well, everything but the neons. I was never really fond of them. As for the wood shrimp, I figure I should mention they dont come cheap- both my LFS's has them for 10 dollars each!

If you do decide on any shrimp, please cover up your filter intakes...

Sevs are a nice alternative to Angels. As for the shrimp...I would put them in a shrimp only tank.

Plecosomus are also a nessecity as well as a couple of cory cat fish.

You don't need Plecos in every tank you have, it's just a marketing ploy by pet stores to get you to buy more fish. You could go for a similar stocking choice of my 55 in my signature.

Shrimp = GBR snacks.
