i have an old 10 gal i have been running for almost a month now, but its empty, everything is perfect in the tank, its all set up with rocks and a few fake plants

only problem is i am having trouble on deciding what to put in it

right now i pretty much have everything i want, mollies, swordtails, angels, corys, cichlids, platies, discus, tetras

so i do not know what to do with it, i want another tank set up, but i just do not know what to stock it with

anyone have any ideas?

fishprofiles.com and this website has list of species. Look at them and you can decided what to put in your tank.

You could do a female-betta community. You'd need at least three (preferably four or five) females to keep one from becoming the sub and picking on the others, but I've seen 10gs set up (with lots of plants and hiding places) with all female bettas before. Really cool.

fishprofiles.com is a great site! i've known about it for a while now

i'm actually thinking about doing the female betta setup, i can actually get live plants for 2$ a piece and get it all up and running an about a month and a half

i've never actually kept bettas for more than 2 months...i had one male last year and that was it

You could always put the filter from the 10 on one of your other tanks, and save it for a Q/hospital tank?
Or keep it running with a few small fish, that can get along in one of your other tanks, to keep it cycled if and when you need it for sick bay service
