Hey hang,
what's currently in the tank is below in my sig. tank is good and cycled. I want to slowly stock it up over the next couple months or so, the ABF's are my fav thing so I will want to accommodate to them, however the Buffalo head Cichlid can get darty and semi aggressive during feeding time, but is normally pretty nice and just lives at the bottom in a cave he made, and is far less aggressive then most cichilds i have observed. I was considering a all Cichlid tank, but According to some members in the cichlid section of the forum they may try and mess with the ABF's long ascending fins. then I was considering Discus, but there pretty demanding and there water quality, temp and PH is different than what the other fish require currently, plus the darty Cichild may freak them out. I also Like the Elephant nose fish, but he is also a bottom dweller and probably wouldn't compete well with the buffalo head cichlid for food, plus my substrate is gravel and maybe not soft enough for him to dig around in. I have 72G to play with... only a big boat and lava rock in it so far with gravel bottom and some floating plants on the top only for the ABF. I don't want any loaches, angels, balas, or Tetras.
also currently running a UGF, considering switching to a XP3 canister but I am having 2nd thoughts due to the price tag.
please send your opinions and comments my way

Cherry barbs, maybe? Bright, colorful, but tend to leave other fish alone, hang mostly in the middle. Livebearers might be a good option as well, since the fry will provide food for the butterflies.

kewl thanks for the info, anyone else? Are there some Cichilds I could put in this tank with out probs?
