Stocking ideas for 10g tank?

A ten gallon tank is not very big, so you have to keep it small yet dramatic. I would stock

2 RAMS for beauty and drama
6 neon Tetras for color and movement
6 cory cats to keep the tank clean and more movement
 
i would.t do a ran in a 10. MAYBE 1 but no more than that and if you do corys you jave to do pygmy or habrosus. id do
8-celestrial pearl danios
1-betta or honey gourami

You are right two RAMS would probably be too much for a 10 gallon. I was just looking at mine and I had forgotten the size limitations with a 10 gallon.
 
I have a 10 with 12 neon tetras, 1 African dwarf frog and 1 oticinclus. The tetras are so fun to watch in a school of 10+.

When I first rescued the tank from its previous neglectful owner it had 3 neon tetras, 1 blackskirt tetra, 1 hatchetfish, 1 upsidedown catfish, the adf and the oticat. The adf and oticat were the only ones I could not easily rehome. I have grown quite attached to them over the last 3 months so at this point I don't want to rehome them, but I'm checking classifieds daily to find a larger tank. One day a good deal will pop up and I'll make sure they get their buddies.
 
if you want something different, maybe boraras briggitae because it is red, awesomely dramatic and small
