Hello all,

Obviously I'm a newbie at aquarium keeping and have a few questions regarding the stocking of my tank. I have a 29 gallon NPT (I made the beginner's mistake in thinking that the smaller the tank, the easier it is to maintain). The tank is almost done cycling and I have an idea of what I want to keep, but am not sure if it is do-able. I was thinking of a pair of blue dwarf gouramis, 5-10 zebra danios, 5-10 cardinal tetras or swordtails, and a pair of African Dwarf frogs. Is this a wise idea? Since this tank would consist of a lot of small fish, is it possible to do this?

:help:

Everything sounds great except the 2 dwarf gourami's. Most pet stores sale males, and they are very territorial to there own species and will fight I'd only put 1 dwarf gourami with everything else you mentioned.

Go with the Cardinals, swords grow fairly large---you can try platies if you MUST have live-bearers.
