Stocking Questions

Yeah, they're really pretty.... I love colorful fish! But what I meant to ask was, how many could I have if I kept my precious scavengers?

the banjo cat gets up to 10",too big for your tank, you could keep the loach but he would get a bit stunted and then you couldnt have a proper school of rainbows.

Well I might have to stick with a small school of tetras then.

but ou still will be OS if you keep the loach and cat.
If you still want a curious scavenger then you could get a small group of cory cats.

My loach is approx. 3 inches and my catfish is a bit smaller.... So they're both fairly small. I think I'll probably give the gouramis away and leave everything as it is, not add any more fish, and if my banjo cat outgrows the tank I'll move him out. (I've never heard of them getting to be 10" before....)

it wont grow to its full size in your tank,it will get stunted and die a painful early death.

Okay. I guess I'll move him out too....

if you get rid of the cat, loach and gouramis then you have more choice of different fish.

Okay. Well it might take me a couple of days before I can bring my gouramis in... I don't think the other fish are in any immediate danger because the gouramis are really peaceful right now. I'll bring them in next time I get the chance.
