I have a 20 gallon long that I've just started to cycle. It has three amazon sword plants, a 100watt adjustable heater, and a tetra whispher 40i filter. I've got three stocking plans that I'll pick between later if they are okay.

stocking 1
2 female platys
6 corys
5 zebra danios/glofish danios

stocking 2
1 dwarf gourami
6 corys
5 zebra danios/glofish danios

stocking 3
6 corys
5 glofish tetras

For the corys, i want to get either sterbai corys or julii corys. would those be good?

Any of the suggestions would work. The 5 corys is pushing the limit on those guys. Make sure they get enough food.

I like the first one. Fishes for all levels. Danios on top, platys in the middle, corys on the bottom.

Did you mean 6 corys or 5 tetras? Either way, I'll make sure they get plenty to eat. (Without overfeeding, of course!)

I like the first one, because if you do the second the danios may nip the fins of the slower moving dwarf gourami. However, with the second one keep in mind that female platies may reproduce still. They could come to you preggers.
Also like henningc, I think that many cories may be a little much. They get decent size and are fairly active fish.

How many balloon molly fish to put is a thirty gallon? How many regular molly fish is a balloon molly fish??
Ok, so this is what i have in my 30 gallon. I have..
5Female black mollies(giving away 3 for trade)
2female dalmation mollies
One male dalmation molly
And... Lastly a bronze cory to take care of the bottom for me.
I know thats enough in my tank but thats why im getting rid of my 3 black females. Do i count my black balloon molly in there and get 2 more molly fish or is it different for her and juat give 3 away?? Because i really do want to trade and if i have to give her away too then i will. She isnt in my 30 gallon with the rest because i have 98% stocked. And i read i gotta keep under 100% unless i am a profesional and know what i am doing.. So no im not profecional and i am not a beginner either. She is actually my first balloon molly. I honestly didnt expect her to come into my life but she did. I can give her away because she was given to me free. Which isnt a problem.

Okay, I'll not do the second then. However, I heard that cories need to be in groups of six at least. Do you think I should just not get cories or I should get less cories and hope that will be okay?

I do not think 6 corys is pushing any limits. Ask stated, just make sure then get enough to eat. I would buy some sinking tablets and drop one or two in every night. Depending on your WC you can actually have 3-4 female platys in there. Even better if you can get smaller corys (Panda, ect).

Okay, I'll make sure I give the corys enough tablets. I was planning on doing around 35% WC weekly. Would that be enough to get 4 platys in my first stocking plan?

With just a 20gal, why not do 50% per week. That is only 10gals. If you use buckets, try for 9gal.
