Does anyone know the best way to store fundulopanchax nigerianus eggs? I have some breeding size fundulopanchax nigerianus killifish and I'd like to store some of the eggs for a friend of mine.

You can put them on peat. I experimented on the hatching rate of peat vs water and I had more luck using peat. I don't remember how long I stored the eggs though. Just check when the eggs are eyed up.

I had Fundulopanchax gardneri stored in peat for 24 days and they all hatched out fine the temp was low though around 15C. hatched them out in water around 22C and took 4 days to all hatch

not sure if that helps

They where sent to me from the UK to Canada took almost 2 weeks to get them with low temps and it was a week after that when i tried to hatch them , they where shipped in doubled up zip-lock bag and in a bubble wrap envelope. They are easy to ship but they should be ready to hatch in 14 days with normal temps 22-24C . If your going to store them put them in zip lock bag push out the air and place in a dark space with stable temp 22-24C and leave them alone until your ready to hatch them. I have 7 types of killies harvest, store and hatch eggs all the time

I keep mine in a cardboard box above my refrigerator in a cupboard temp always 22-24C and dark
