Strange Pleco Behavior

For the past few months my common pleco randomly comes out form under his log and darts to the surface then comes back down and hides again. He does this maybe twice a week.

Here is my tank setup

29Gallon
4 punctas corys
5 head-tail light tetras
1 Female paradise fish
1 Pleco

2 Millenium 2000 Power Filters

The filters are creating enough oxygen for all the fish I dont think my pleco would be going up for air.

Is this just normal behavior?

it's normal for pleco's....... every one I've owned has done this...... I'd be more worried if they didn't

yeah, it's normal, something about gulping air from the surface helps them keep their equilibrium better while hanging upside down on objects.

o i c that makes sense,he(she) is always hanging upside down in the log/cave
