Strangest Fish??

here is another, has anyone kept these before, I think they'd be great but I've never tried them. It just seems to me that they would need to be in a tank by themselves, those long fins look too inviting to nip at even for fish that are not aggressive. It is an African Butterflyfish by the way...

my brother had a butterfly fish before, the wierdest fish ive had has to be the anablepts (sorry bout the spelling), its eyes are split in two, and 4 pupils,it was a very cool fish. i did a google search for a picture http://ebiomedia.com/gall/eyes/4eye.html

i thinks thats a 4 eye fish ive kept them before get about 30cm very funny looking still hasnt beaten the sun fish.

this little fishie?? i have him in my community tank. i havent had a problem with my fish niping at it. rather, they will go after your smaller fish. i have discovred, it is a nocturnal fish, and that would explain the huge eyes.
I have had it lunger after my betta when she invaded the butterfly's bubble. they are great, really are. just make sure you feed it live food. it loves it, and is entertaining to watch. (it has a massive mouth.)
they also like to jump, so, watch out. especially when they are after their food. rar.

Dangerdoll thanks for the robin fish pic! The ones we got were a little darker with longer and more pointed "wings" maybe there are several varieties???? Thats funny! i will hve to catch another & get i pic of it!

hehehe, I was trying to get a good one...... the ones we were catching here were very red though compared to the piuc I posted. The faces we made when we first started pulling those babies up musta been priceless though, hehehe.

this little guy uses the "trunk" on his lower lip to root through substrate and uses a weak electric current to find and catch prey.
