Stupid Angel keeps spitting out food!

My dumb angel keeps spitting out his flakes and repeats the same thing for every flake he gets a hold of.

Ive had angels before in the past and they did not do this. Is he being really picky or what? On top of that, I see him picking up the food from the gravel later on.

I swear he has lowest IQ of all angels. Plus hes a chicken ****. anything can spook him.

Ive only had him for a week. maybe things will start to change?

Try a different food. (Frozen bloodworms, mysis shrimp, or a higher quality flake/granule food)
Mine absolutely destroy 'New Life Spectrum-community fish formula.'

you can try other foods blood worms etc.
could be it's not settled in yet.
if the angel continues to spit the food out for the next few days .(keep an eye on it)

an angel spitting it's food out is not normal. it can be an early sign of a problem.
bacterial or internal parasites can also cause this to happen.

My neons spit out their food when its too big and then go after the smaller pieces. They don't care about the size of the food when it comes to frozen brine shrimp though. Try some live or frozen food.
