Is a Blood Male Gourami the same thing as a Flame Gourami, just a different name or no?

At my store, we have them labled Blood Male Gourami. he is about 3.5" long and has not grown much if any since I got him (approx 3 months ago). I feed 2x a day.

I'll add a pic in just a second.

Here it is. Also, how can I determine the sex? I am aware stores carry mainly males (also the name says male but idk).
 
That looks like the same thing as a Flame Dwarf Gourami, just a different name.

I notice yours has lines ranging up and down across his mid-section. (Your avatar.) That is a Dwarf Flame, no?
 
Somebody posted about a new color variant that was actually blood red, but that pic is what I know as a Flame.

I have been looking at them in the tanks locally, and I have noticed that some of them have the end of the dorsal fin rounded, which supposedly means a female... The pointy ones are the males...

They all had the same coloring, regardless of dorsal shape.

BTW : about 3 1/2 inches is about right for a max size on a DG

i'm pretty sure it's just another name, since he looks like a normal flame to me. he looks nice BTW.
