Still need to buy heat for the new 125, looking on big als and i dont know whats the most commonly used, or most reliable....i live in ct so winters get cold in my house, i'm thinking 2 300w. heaters should be fine, we usually keep the house temp between 65 adn 70....i want my tank water around 75-80...whats the best bang for my buck? Thanks for all opinions.

Ooops my mistake I think it's Jager Eheim, not Ebo. I knew they kept one of the 2 names. I've heard people say the new Jagers aren't as good as the old (with Ebo moniker), but I'm not sure.

I can't give Visi-therm a good vote of the six heaters I bought after two years only one was still working. But the Ebo-Jagers I bought fourteen years ago are still going strong not one of them has broken down leaked or failed to maintain the right temp although I can't say if the new jagers are any good. Natakutseng said that they are no good now.

I'm the opposite on visi-therms, I own sixteen of them some as old as 11 years and have never had one fail. I do fully submerse all of my heaters, but aside from that I do not know if there is something I'm doing to help them live longer, or if I just have better luck than other folks. For my money I'd buy the Visi-therms, but there seem to be a lot of dissatisfied customers out there as well.

All my heaters (six of them) are Ebo-Jagers . IMO they are the best.
