sugestions for a 25 or so gallon

Yah i have this smaller tank i think its about a 20-25 which i had my blue dempsey in but it died...so now all thats in their are some neons and a rainbow tetra....but those are boring fish.....any suggestions of somthing else i can put in their.....maybe some rams or somthing?
 
There are lots of cichlids that could go in with the fish you currently have.

A pair of either bolivian rams (microgeophagus altispinosa) or blue/gold/german rams, Nannacara anomola (golden eyed dwarf cichlids), flag cichlids (Laetacara curviceps or L. dorsigera - the red breasted flag), and keyhole cichlids come to mind.

What are your water parameters like and what is the footprint of your tank? Match your water and tank size to the above fish (all would do well in the standard 20 high footprint (24"x12"), so water parameters are the biggest question.

i belive it is 24/12 someone told me it was a 10 gallon but im like uhhh noo its bigger then that......and the water tends to have a problem with ammonia always had.....prolly need to buy a better filter for it....but i want somthing thats a lil extoic but not sentive like the blue dempesy is 3 of them died on me....so are the rams a hardy fish?
 
those are some nice looking fish....althogh my concern is finding them.... i looked for ever before i found my green and red terror......and i havent seen any rams at the local stores......are they uncommon ? and do they like alot of caves? should i had some live plants....i dont wanna make it to complcated tho
 
oh and i also have a electric yellow that lives in my 55 gallon with my terrors....and im hoping to move the green terror to my 125 gallon i have but not set up yet and have a few oscars ....i also have was was told to me to be a red terror but it might be a uro....so you think a green terror and a uro and a few oscars would live together?....oh and would the rams be ok with the yellow lab...
 
I don't know crud about your larger fish :D , I keep dwarf cichlids only. Bolivian rams spawn on flat rocks in the open. They do like plants, but I think they'd be fine with fake ones and some rocky areas just to make the area interesting looking for them.

I don't think the electric yellow would go well with them...aren't they pretty aggressive? If yours is really mellow, it could be fine. The rams won't be the aggressors.
