suggestions for hexagonal tank hood

I need to make a hood for my 20 g hexagonal tank because the current lighting is inadequate. Anybody have tips, suggestions, experience in doing this? I was going to buy two full spectrum 20 w fluorescent lamps but I'm not sure about mounting.
