Suggestions on what overflow box I should buy? I have a 55G tank and my sumps going to be a 28G tank or a 10G tank. I'm wanting to spend about $80-$100 on one. Thanks

I bought the one made by CPR. The only problems I have had is that I broke one of the parts and I've had some trouble attaching the hose to the overflow box. I managed to get it to work okay starting yesterday and it seems to be okay now.

I am ordering some replacement parts and a better hose/overflow connector.

You want a U-tube style, not a weir channel style like the CPR.

At the top-end, you have the Lifereef overflow. http://www.lifereef.com/siphon.html
Its a tad over your price range though.

On the budget end of the scale, you have the Hurricane Quietflo:

Less than $50; same design as the Lifereef, but the quality is a little cheaper.

I have the Hurricane Quietflow. Been running for 40 days so far, and absolutely no issues. Not one single bubble has accumulated in the u-tube. So far, it seems to be doing the job.

If you don't mind, what's wrong with a weir-type overflow like the CPR one?
