Hey guys. I am adding a 36" long 12" wide and maybe 15" or 16" tall sump. I was wondering if you guys could give me some advice on dividing up the sections. And what would be a suitable thickness of the arylic? I am planning on putting the skimmer in the sump also. This is for a 55gl tank. Thanks guys

well..first question is...how big is the skimmer...this will play a part in the section of the sump that it is going to be installed in...

Do you plan on having a refugium in the sump? or is it just going to be extra water volume?

my LFS said to give about 10" in diameter for the skimmer and yes i want a fuge in there. the return pump is 4x3 i believe. but in any case what do you guys think would be a good skimmer to put in my sump with dimensions i have given you guys?

Hey Niko. Yes, I saw your sump design before, but your input is only 8" long. I was thinking on the line of 13" intake, 14" fuge, and 5" return. But I don't know what the situation is only the water evaporating in the return section.
