I'm switching over from a canister filter to a sump/refug in my 75g. After checking the measurements of the stand, I can only fit a 20g long into it. I was wondering if that would be good enough for my tank?
My stand has 2 draws with 2 doors below with out the center brace so its got a good opening but low on height only 15". The 20g is 12" high which gives me a little room to get my hand in there and I will have to remove the back part of a draw and leave the face of the draw with a hinge on the stand to get to my skimmer cup.

This is what I was thinking of from melevsreef.com

Thank you everyone in advance!

Can't think of any reason why the added water volume would be a bad thing. I run a sumpless system myself but its tough to argue the importance of dilution. Plus its a nice place to hide all of your equipment, add extra liverock and/or keep a refugium.

ya i would love to hide my heaters and get rid of my HOB skimmer and while looking at glasscages.com they use 20g sumps with their 75g tanks so I think I should be all set. I'll be posting up pics of my sump set up soon and my new salt/fresh water mixing station. Thanks for the reply!

Welcome. Good luck with the sump!
