Sunsun 302 vs 303 size comparison photos

I thought I would try and make side by side photos of the Sunsun 303b that is rated for 200 gallon tanks and the Sunsun 302W rated for 100 gallon tanks. But the pictures I took of my 320W are not good matches of the 303b someone else posted on AC. Albeit, in the below photos you see below the smaller Sunsun 302W is always to the right or underneath the larger Sunsun 303b.

Below the can was accidentally placed in front on the Sunsun 302w

Even though my photo comparison are a bit wacked, its evident that the larger Sunsun 303b is in fact larger. However not nearly as large as I would have liked and therefor IMO maybe not effective as two Sunsun 302's for the same price. I did this comparison to help me make up my mind and I thing I will be ordering the same 302W if I need one.

i choose cream of mushroom. :D goes great with taters, chicken and bacon.

on a more serious note... since you can't just hop over to your local retailer and see for yourself this is a great thread. thanks for sharing.

Thank you for the comparison. Helps to decide on my future Sunsun purchase. It will be my second one. I love these things.

Model: HW-302
Dimensions in mm: 232*232*395 1000L/H (15.5" high)

Model: HW-303
Dimensions in mm: 258*258*430 1400L/H (16.9" high)

Model: HW-304
Dimensions in mm: 290*290*485 2000L/H (19.1" high)

Are those total dimensions or media dimensions?

It does look like the bump up in capacity does not justify the bump up in price.

I see many people talking about this filter. Has anyone heard of any bad experiences with them? I have a 8 tank fish room in the works at my new home and was contemplating going with a few of these filters for my 20L and 29G tanks.

should be dimensions of the entire filter, i hope they are not dimensions of the **** box...lol
either way, if all else remains proportional, there is a small difference between the 302 and 303 and a significant one for the 304

Me too. Never knew water could be that clean.

I agree with that conclusion.

I would speculate that the large filters have proportionally larger media areas, because they pump size should not need to increase proportionally to filter size. The difference between the 302/303 is small enough that even assuming that advantage, the 303 is not a huge upgrade. The 304 difference is significant enough without the assumption to draw the conclusion it is a big upgrade in capacity.
