super filter?

would a filter for a pond be too powerful for a 20 g? im not sure on the gph but it filled a five gallon bucket in 7 minutes. its goes in the pond so it would have to be a in tank filter

you get to a point where its just not going to do much good. could dry just cut down the flow.... just depends on what fish.

that's not a lot of flow, if it was a 5g bucket in 7min then you've only got 42gph and that is far from too much for a 20g, you must be thinking of a 2g.

i think what he's looking at are those little pond pumps at HD that are supposed to be put into small outdoor fountains. GDs would really love a ton more flow, like 10x more.

proper turnover for a 20g is 200 GPH or higher IMO, I have a pump that can run 300 GPH if I want it.
