there is a product called super thrive for normal plants, and i was wondering if you guys think it would do anything for aquatic plants?.... i mean just use it on one plant in a whole diifferent tank (w/o fish), what do you think would happen??? im going to get some plant ferts for my aquarium soon, so what kind should i get? im going to get them from big als

I don't know what's in this product you're talking about, but it would probably be better to use ferts that are designed for aquariums.
Sea Chem has an excellent line of fertilizers for planted tanks.

I've used it in the past a drop or so after a water change on a 20 gal tank. I cannot say it really improved growth per se. It likely will help some rooting etc. But the macro nutrients if maitained along with good high CO2 levels will produce the most dramtic results.
But it is fine for fish tanks. Just don't add 20 drops etc in a small tank.
