ok first off water parameters : Api freshwater liquid test kit:
ph: 7.2
ammonia:20
nitrite: 0
nitrate: 40
I almost forgot the temperature, it stays at 80 F
I also have java ferns, 2 amazon swords, water sprite, java moss and 2 "dead rocks"
My 29 gallon tank is fairly new, had it about 2 months now. It is nearing the end of the initial cycling process. I have managed, during the cycling, to save all but 2 fish after reading the forums here. Thanks a million to all of you!
I was one of the "uneducated" people who listened when I bought my tank to the lady who said "if you use start right you can buy fish today"...ugh!! I should have went with instinct.
I have 2 orange mollies, 2 silver mollies, 3 black mollies all about an inch and a half to 2 inches long. An angelfish that is about 2 inches long, a pleco about 3 inches and 3 itty bitty cardinal neons (they are under an inch long).
I have an undergravel filter with the 2 uptakes and also an aeon 30 (i think). I change the carbon once a month in both UW intakes and also in the top filter. I water change weekly 1/3 of the tank. I do have the aquarium salt added due to an ich problem I had a few weeks back.

Now for the question on my male silver molly. He was doing great. I bought some freeze dried bloodowrms and gave them to the fish. They liked them, however they are not getting anymore. The same day i noticed him trying to stay straight up and down, he was wobbling from side to side. I isolated immediately. Now he is sitting in the tank in a corner with his head down on the gravel and his tail straight up in the air. He is still eating, has no anal protrusions, still is a beautiful silver color. Very bloated looking. I fed him a shelled pea and I am treating the tank he is in with a broad spectrum treatment called Lifeguard all in one. I dont know what else to do. I just started the treatment today since it has been 3 days with the pea's as was mentioned somewhere. Is there anything else I can do for him?

I dunno which worked but he is back upright today, eating, dorsal fin back up and seems ok now. I will finish the treatment of the lifeguard all in one and hope for the best.

sounds like he may have been a lil backed up from the freeze dried bloodworms, and that may have been causing issues with buoyancy/swimming.

you can continue feeding the freeze dried, just soak the worms in a bit of tank water first, and only feed a little bit, and maybe only once a week as a treat.

Absolutely agree with BFM, as the freeze dried worms absorbed liquid in the fish's stomach, it bloated. Epsom salts added to the tank works extremely well and quickly if you ever need a quick cure for bloat in the future.
