Symptoms of high pH levels?

Since I moved my 3 corys to a (fully cycled) 20L last week, they haven't been active. When they were in QT, they were very active. Nowadays they usually hide under a plant or behind a rock. Tonight I measured the pH level with an API high test kit and it was 8.2! My fresh tab water's pH is 7.8 and the QT's 7.4-7.6 (maybe thanks to several driftwood pieces).

I'm worried about the high pH level in the cory tank. What are the symptoms of high pH levels?

8.2 is not detrimental to fish...your corys are still adjusting to their new environment. More corys would help too if your werent planning on that already.

I hope you're right. The reason why I'm worried is it took only one day for them to adjust to the QT. It's been 5 days since they moved to the bigger home.
