I set up my 70 gallon about three months ago.

Everything is going great, and I have a nice mix of fish, mostly Rainbows. No live plants, but heavily decorated with large rocks and very good quality fake plants.

My current lights are very basic T-8 fluorescents. They are the 18" 15W variety, using All-Glass 8K bulbs.

I'd like to get some better lighting, and have been driving myself crazy reading about the different types.

Right now I'm thinkin either T5 or Power Compacts. I don't want to over do it, as I don't have live plants. I am thinking two 55 or 65W bulbs should suit my needs.

With the Power Compacts, I know I can get All-Glass 8K and 9250K bulbs, and I like that spectrum.

With the T5's, I'd probably mix a 10K and a 6.5 K.

If anyone has any suggestions, or has been through a similar situation, I've love to hear your comments.
