I was just admiring my fish and heard myself talking to them outloud. Am I the only one who does this? Felt kinda silly - glad no one was around

I do it ocassionally. I mean, I don't have a conversation, i just say 'hello, little betta." and stuff like that. everyone does it. don't feel weird.

No, not me. But I have so many, I couldn't get a word in edgewise. ;)

I asked my dog if I should talk to my fish.....he said I shouldn't.....the cat was ambivalent on the matter....

i dont talk to my fish.

sometimes i talk to my birds though...its funny though when people say they talk to their birds... some birds, like mine, can talk back!! lol. but its not like we can have a conversation or something. they just say hello, goodbye, etc. sometimes at appropriate times other times one of them will have a loud talking fit and start the other one up! its hillarious lol.

I do talk to my fish. I just like saying hi to them. Sometimes when I'm trying to get them to do something, like move out of the way or find their food, I unconsciously start talking to them like I would a dog or cat. Like "there it is, go get it" as if they can hear me :p: I forget sometimes that they're underwater so their hearing doesn't work the same way!

:thm:
Catch myself doing the same thing, Paula!

"Hey, you dumb fish, the food is right above you!"

:duh:

i talk to my oscar and he wags his tail. He'll even wag his tail and start swimmin around all happy when i look over at him, he always knows whats going on in the room.
