I have to get pictures, but my camera is broke and I have other bills to pay.

I have both a Marine Betta and Coral Beauty that I've had for about two years in my 75gal. Been slowly weening both of a full diet of frozen food onto a mix of high quality dry food; freeze dried brine shrimp, high quality dry marine pellet, etc. Frozen food is now just 1/3 of their diet. I swear my fish are healthier after they started on more dry food and my skimmer is less active.

Both the Betta and Angel will take dry food from my fingers. The Angel is more shy, but the Betta now comes out and grabs a chunk freeze dried brine from between my fingers with no hesitation. Dare I say he's learned to beg worse than my chichlids in my fresh water tank. I thought these guys were shy, but mine is happy to hang out in the open for half the day, which is find given how pretty they are.

****, I'm jealous! I have had my betta for probably around a year and the most I will ever see of him is his back end retreating quickly into the rocks or him just peering out at you from a dark spot. The shyest fish I have ever known.

So what techniques did you use to "make him come out" so to say?

my betta is ALWAYS out. I have mine on a live/frozen diet, so far so good.
