Tampa Bay Cichlids/Bluegrass Aquatics- what happened?

I ordered from both many times in the past and everything was great. This last time about a year ago i ordered a breeding group of A. Kandeense and 5 of the six were DOA and way too small to be sold, let alone sexed.He texted me and said he would send replacements and then ghosted me.Now that the lone survivor is an adult male, it’s not even a Kandeense, it’s a sulfurhead. I decided to check the reviews and damn! They have been BAAAAAADDD for a couple years or so. I’m just wondering if anyone knows why this once good company has gotten so bad? Did he just stop giving AF or what?

Unfortunately a quick Google shows nothing but bad reviews and findings that he hasn't filed needed paperwork in some time.. I assume registering as a business .



Hopefully you got your money back, or were able to charge it back.

Sorry you had to go through this, it's a shame as there are some awesome mail order retailers out there that won't get a chance because of crappy experiences elsewhere.

It’s very confusing because it used to be a great company and was my go to for rifties since 2015. This bad stuff seems to be in the last year or two. It’s very odd. But ya, I got my money back, I filed a dispute with PayPal and said I paid for 6 live fish and I received one, I saved the text from him offering replacements as well.
But ya, there’s great online stores, I buy 95% of my fish online
