Some of you might have read my snail fail post, well i got 2 more snails and my tetras are fine.
But, l had to clean the tank last night, and so i had to move them into a holding container that i treated and everything. cleaned the tank and then brought it back set it back up and everything was fine.
about 4-5 hours lateri realized it was leaking, a crack that we had sealed in the tank had opened back up. SO i had to take the snails and fish back out empty the water and take several hours to seal the crack up as best i can. Its still leaking slightly but i have no money at this time to fix it or buy a new tank...i have a 10 gallon but it doesnt have a hood a light or a filter or heater. if i had the money or knew sumone that was getting rid of that stuff i would make the switch instantly.
But anyway the problem is my one snail is doing the exact same thing that the snail from my snail fail post is doing, but shes still alive, i didnt hurt then when taking them off the tank i waited till they were in the gravel or i slid them slowly up the side of the tank untill they unsuctioned. and the one that is doing it never was one to fight to come off shed drop right in the net and then let me put her in the container. now some people said that the discharge she lets off is prolly from stress, would she just float around and hang partially out of her shell cause of stress as well? i can tell shes still alive cause her antennas are moving and i went to pick her up to do the foot test and she hide but im really worried cause i dont want to lose another snail.
any suggestions? the water is treated and apropriate tempature. they were doing GREAT before the water change, idk what went wrong.
