Tank mates for firemouth and Salvini cichlids

Whay would be some good tank mates for these firemouth and a Salvini in a 55g tank. Tiger barbs? White tetras?
Red tail shark? Some rasporas? Can gouramis go with new world cichlids?

Not small fish. A good choice might be an oscar. A sepifecbrule is one oscar per fifty five gallon tank. Plecos are great to. Maybe some other cichlids.

I would not go with an Oscar for that set-up. Maybe a Jack Dempsey, Convict or there similar sized cichlids
