tank size for black convict pair

got a pair of black convicts so that i can have free feeders for my jack dempseys. they are currently in a 20 gallon tank they are only 2" right now. i know i need another tank for them soon. what is the smallest size tank i can get away with for them? they will be the only fish in this tank. would a 20 long work?

I've heard 30-55 gallons is a good range. But once they reach breeding age you will have to find a lot more space than that for the loads of fry you will be getting.

ummm.... the reason i got them was because they breed so often. i want the fry for feeders for my jack dempseys

well.... actually got two females. and i love those girls! not gonna be able to do the whole feeder thing. dont know what i was thinking.... they are cool fish! oh well just gonna do an all female tank so i dont have to feel like a murderer.
