Does anyone know the equation to calculate from tank size to number of gallons. I am thinking about building my own fish tank across a wall in my basement.

There is a good website with tank calculations. You can google and type "tank calculations" or something to that affect, or you can wait for someone to post the site sinse I forgot it.

all measurments need to be in inches.

Slipknottin is correct as long as you measure inside dimentions. The 231 in his formula refers to cubic inches in a cubic gallon. CHEWEY
