Tank Size?

Okay, I've got nothing to say...I just wanted to make fun of Thom. Sorry, Thom, it was just something to do on this lazy Sunday.

Can I join in the fun?

The main reason we don't do litres over here is because we're American, doggone it, and standardized measures just aren't in our nature. We have a mile rather than a Kilometer, yards rather than meters, and gallons rather than litres. Because miles, yards, and gallons are complex, and we like our complicated systems!

(Plus we fear change.... do you have any idea how much the mileage signs on the road scare me?

Knoxville 19mi
Knoxville 12km

On the SAME SIGN.... yie.... I need my teddy bear....)

"Just a smidge of lemon pepper"

"Just a dash of paprika"

"Add salt to taste"

Yep, we're dead accurate!

yea, we don't do signs like those in nj. i still struggle to convert between cm and inches in my head...let alone all of those other measurements.

in fact, the only signs (at least with regularity) i recall ever seeing in my travels in the eastern half of the US were in maine...which is not surprising, catering to those crazy canadians :)

You might be a redneck if...

you collect them purty little signs what have k and m on them...

(Like the guys in my town who shoot them, then bag them.)

Stick a road sign up in kilometres over here as well and no1 would know how far they ahd to go. Good old miles...never let me down.

Oh, 2.5cm to the inch, 4.5 litres to the gallon (imperial).
