Hello all ! :hi:
I am wondering if a 29 gallon tank would suffice as a fish w/ live rock with the eventual addition of some soft coral, im worried because the tank is taller and i dont know how the light will work as in getting down to coral?? anywhoo i could save a bundle on a 29 opposed to 30. And i do understand that the more water the more stable but do you think a gallon would make a difference.
the 29 gallon is 30 inches long prolly 12 deep and 19 high
the 30 gallon is 36 long...
Thank you all so much!

hey there. a 29 will work fine. as for lighting, it depends what lighting you get, but for soft corals, you should be okay as long as you dont have the normal output lighting.
i personaly like shallower, wider tanks, but if you like the 29 better, then go for it.

PS: a 29 was also my first tank

great!
for a 29 gallon tank im assuimg i need a 30'' light... but what type there are so many to choose from???
