Tonight my wife actually suggested that I get a bigger tank (than my current 55) for Christmas!!! Sooooo that means I need some suggestions. My dilemma is that I have a 66" width limit and prefer the 'wider' not 'higher' look. The next dilemma is that somehow I would have to remove a 55 and replace with the new aquarium without crashing the current setup. Where there's a will there's a way!

Give me suggestions, site links, etc on how to find the perfect replacement if I decide to take on the challenge.:headbang2:

If the space is at least 18 inches wide (Front to back), you can get a 75 gallon tank. the same dimesnions as the 55, except it is 18 inches wide as opposed to a 55's 12 inches.

You might want to consider one of the 60" tanks. I've seen them in 100 gallon and 120 gallon sizes. They are the same depth (front to back) as a 75 gallon (18") The only problem is that stands for them are a little harder to find than ones for 48" and 72" tanks.

I assume your referring to the cycle, take the 55 down the same time the new tank is ready to be set up, put your fish and filter media in a rubber maid type container with water from the 55, mine is about 18 gallons, you can set your heater in there if it will be awhile before the new set up is ready, iv put one of the filters on the container in the past......:)

Weezer- I am referring to cycling etc....but am trying to convince my wife to let me keep the original and add another one. We'll see how it works. If I do break down the 55g I will use your advice. Thanks!

Anyone else have ideas for online stores to buy aquariums/stands?
