tank substrate and decorating... fig8's

I have black sand in my planted tank and I love it. A lot of people tried to talk me out of it but I love the contrast.

I already have the tank up and going... eventually decided to go with white arogonite, since most brackish fish like the higher ph anyway. I got the sugar-sized stuff (since it was the cheapest anyhow) and that has a very fine and sandy texture. Black sand would definately be awsome, especially with the white Knight Gobies. But since I got the white sand, I plan on getting a few Bumblebee Gobies for good contrast, and the one Knight I have I will either put in thier also or give away/sell. It will probably take a couple months for the tank to be ready to go, since I will be acclimating plants and BBGobies to brackish, before I can put my already brackish puffers in there. I have a few plants in thier already, not sure the best way to cycle the tank, but I figure if I get a few Gobys in there I'll just take a handfull of bio balls out of my larger tank filter, and should probably avoid the tank having to cycle I hope.
