I have a 44 gal with a medium dino eel (polypterus palmas) and an african butterfly. I was wondering if anybody had any good ideas about a mid level swimmer for this set up. I also plan on getting a bristlenose pleco in the near future...so It can't be too big but big enough to not get eaten by the eel.

perhaps some dwarf cichlids

"dino eels" are usually polypteris senegalus. They grow to a nice foot in length. Get something at least 4 inches. I'd say you really can't stock anything now if you get the pleco.
