No it's Valentines.67chevelle, why do they show up around this time? Is it their spawning time or something?
And by buying them, you are encouraging the practice.

Does the tattooing make the fish unhealthy? Will they introduce a disease into the tank? I don't want to bring home anything that could harm other fish. I did read you don't want me to buy them. I just don't believe in not giving a fish a better life. It's either I buy the fish or someone else. When I was in the store, I saw a woman with 5 kids who couldn't be older than 7 and two were in strollers. She was buying them. She told her kids,"if these die like all the others, we'll have to try a different kind." The oldest kid said,"maybe it needs a bigger bowl" and the mom said," they already have a 2 gallon." How many are all the others? 2 Gallons for 4 fish! I'd rather have the fish with me than with them. At least they'd have a life and room to swim. I didn't even think of the fact that valentines day is coming. If I don't buy them then someone else is. The owner of the store says she's been getting them in for a while but they sell out within three to four days. I think people should have to take tests before they are allowed to buy live creatures. Of course I also think people should have to take tests before they are allowed to have kids but neither are going to happen.
