Teeny Tiny Cory Condoms?

Your clown loaches must be babies. Once they get a little bigger, they will most likely hunt down and eat any baby cories. I can't imagine any babies surviving in my 125 gal with only 2 clown loaches. They are hungry and persistent!

Sell or give the corys away on Craigslist. That is where I always offer my offspring first. Good luck.

Thanks Everyone!
My biggest loach is about 2.5 inches now - the smallest is about an inch. Something tells me two things happened:
* the cory babies grew and hung out in the java moss where the loaches could not easily reach them
* the loaches ate a lot, but could not feasibly eat all the fry

BUT - I have since moved the parents out of the 55 and into the 30 (was a quarantine tank but now is a regular tank since there will be no new purchased additions). The 30 has just two danios to keep the cycle going, light plants and a piece or two of wood. I moved the four cory parents and the two clown plecos into the 30 one week ago and just last night i noticed my first danio baby.

What gives?! I thought fish breeding required effort!

My advice? Find out what your LFS wants, can turn over quickly, and gives a good price to you on.

Buy a pair of them.

Wait.

Profit.

Inform your tax advisor about your impending riches and tell your banker you will be needing a bigger vault to go Scrooge McDuck gold coin swimming.

I have the same problem in my 150g Malawi cichlid tank. Only I have so much incricate rockwork and hiding spots, it really is virtually impossible to pull any fish out without dismantling all the decor in the tank. I'm essentially just letting them grow out, and dreading the day a few months down the road when I will have to do that.

I saw your title about fishie condoms, and got excited that someone may know how to sterilize a tank of fish, lol
