Teflon lubricant on aquarium filtrer parts

I know the general rule of thumb in the hobby is to use silicone based lubricants on filter parts and not petroleum based ones such as vaseline.

Well, back when I had a pool, I use a large DE filter with it and I lubricated everything with teflon lubricant.

Has anyone ever used teflon lubricants on aquarium filters?

I've used vaseline on canister O-rings for 40 plus years without any visible effects that I have ever seen. No experience with teflon.
