ok i've narrowed it down to what i want to put in my 20 gallon tank i was thinking a school on neons a pair of gourami's i prefer blue but i would settle on dwarf gouramis and either a african dwarf frog or a few shrimp if i could do both that would be even better

also i've seen some blue shrimp i heard their color is artifical what is your stand on them and would i be able to put them in a tank that size

1 gourami, only 1, not 2. The likely hood of betting 2 males id high. Gourami's can be very territorial, and in a 20g there is not enough room for more than 1.

You could have a pair of dwarf gouramis (1M,1F) they are easy to tell apart so you won't end up with 2 males. What sort of shrimp are they?

I would put in two poweder blue dwarf gouramis, if you want blue because of their color. (one male, one female.)

1 male, 1 female always with gouramis in a tank that size.

I dont think anyone here can say they like dyed fish.

wow, ive had 2 male turquoise dwarf gouramis in my 10 gallon for about a year and a half and no problems....

Well as long as they grew up together they are usually ok...

Also some are more calm than others.
