Temperature of tank?

Thanks heaps for the advice I'm up early to find one albino dead it's like some kind of fish Armageddon I feel so sad/sick I'm gonna go and sort out an air stone today and just hope that my loaches don't die as they are very big and yeh It's just too sad.............

btw you can fill pop bottles with water, freeze them (don not fill the bottle to the top only fill 60-70%) you can float the bottle in the tank or place the bottle on the intake side of a fan blowing cooler air over the tank.
definitely increase O2 levels by using an air stone or allowing the water level to drop lower.. you wil have less dissolved O2 in the warmer water.
( I had issues on my marine tank last summer and kept several bottles of water frozen so i could rotate them in my refugium)

The tap water itself really doesn't seem much cooler......I could start to add ice but that will certainly keep me on my toes.......and no, no
heater.

You have no heater and water coming direct from your tap is 85F+??? Something is not right, can you not carry out a bunch of small water changes with cooler water to bring the temp down? will be quicker than making some ice, easier than setting up a fan etc.

I can't believe that all the water in your house is coming out of the taps at that temperature.

Firstly I didn't actually state that the water coming from my tap was in fact 85+F, I did actually write that it doesn't seem much cooler (which it isn't),as for something not being right then what can I say? I live 16 degrees South of the Equator, It's summer, we are experiancing extremely hot weather at the moment with hot winds coming from the North East. Everything is hot , rain water, sea water and yes our tap water., which is the joys of living in paradise!!!
Having said that our wet seasons is about to start bringing cooler winds from the SE so fingers crossed things will cool down soon...........
Thanks for every ones help and advice I have been busy cooling the tank and yes having a wee bit of success......It has started to rain and thunder so that is good news.
I will keep you posted
Thanks agin for all help it is much appreciated certainly with some good ideas
