The perfect temperature to keep your tank is anywhere between 74 to 78 degrees. With about 76, being the constant.

78, you can do anything between 74-84 though... the idea is to keep it constant. Fish stores tend to keep the temps lower becuase it kills some paracites. Some people keep it lower because their equpiment can heat the tank up, and this stops it from getting to hight but I hear most people are around 78. HTH
