Well, I'm please to announce that my tank FINALLY is looking somewhat how I've always planned for it to look... lol...
Last summer, in July I bought myself a 70gallon tank, and not knowing really anything about fish, since I've never kept anything other then bettas...I had a really rough time.. I did research on the internet what I needed to set the tank up, bought everything... got home and set up the tank.. the lady at the pet store said to let the tank run for afew weeks before adding any fish, I did add a fancy goldfish tho...
In time I cleaned the tank, moved the goldfish to a neighbours house who had a goldfish tank, turned my heater on.. and bought some fish...
Then everything went down hill, thank heavens I found this form tho, you guys have been soo helpful... at one point I nearly gave up with the fish tank.. doing 60% water changes everyday, and testing the water... it was pretty nuts, not to mention everyone around me thought I was crazy (was a good workout tho lol)
Anyways, in the process I lost a good number of fish.. about 20 mollies and platies, 10 guppies, 2 dwarf gouramis, 6 rasboras, 9 danios, and 1 pleco! (weren't all added in at the same time, just kept adding new fish when others died) ... it was sooo sad just watching all my fish get sick and die...
I even battled with brown algee for afew months... not fun...
Now, I have all of you to thank for how wonderful my tank looks now, and how healthy my fish are...
I have currently, 2 dwarf gouramis, 2 honey gouramis, 11 neons, 3 cories, and a pleco.... and I love them all!!.. They've all been doing great in the tank for some time now.. thank heavens! hehe...
The weird part though, is I started with the cories, and threw everything my tank has been threw, they're the only ones that pulled threw... some tough cories if I might say!
Sorry for the huge story, but yeah... just though I had to say thanks... I'll be sure to add some pictures!!
