I would like to thank those who responded to the "just thought I'd share" thread.

I purchased 2 more discus shortly after advice to increase number. It had no effect on shyness. I just added 2 more last night. Now they come to the front of the tank frequently. The two newest fish are very forward and friendly. They are not Stendker.
Here are their pics.
I still cant get the last 2 to come forward- a red turquoise and a snakeskin. So no pics of them yet.

Anybody here into Pleco's? How many 4-6" can I keep in the 75G?

nice Discus
I would only recommend 2 pleco's in that size range..even the small ones are poo machines..

just part of their character ;)

Nice looking young discus! Glad you were able to increase the little "herd"! I also would only recommend 2 plecos in that tank. That's plenty and as star_rider said, they will really add to the waste load of the tank....LOTS!

As far as the plecos are concerned, it depends on what kind. I would stay away from the common pleco because they will grow way too large for that size tank. They also seem to develop a liking for the slime coat of flat sided fish such as angels and discus. They do this as they get older and bigger. I had a common pleco completely kill one of my discus in sight of fifteen minutes once when I wasn't paying close enough attention to what was going on in the tank. If you must have a pleco in with the discus may I suggest a bristlenose pleco or two. They max out in the 4-5 inch range and are very peaceful fish. They will never bother any of the other fish and that includes fish like discus and angels. They are very busy little guys and I sometimes wonder if they ever sleep or not. Anyways, that is the only pleco I would recommend for a tank with discus or angels.

Just my thoughts.
