I want to thank everyone for advice and especially to whoever started this forum..I have learned so much just from reading posts..I never thought of checking the water with a test kit..Mostly because I've never had any fish problems.I also have well water so I know I don't have all those added chemicals and whatnot. But now you've made me paranoid and I'll have to buy a kit lol.I know any changes I make with have to be slow but why not get it right.
My dad had a guppy tank when i was a kid, never changed the water, green algae all over the sides of the tank. They would multiply like crazy,so i figured the water wasn't all that important, that the fish would adapt.lol I even messed up a model ship i was building and turned it into a pirate shipwreck and sunk it to the bottom of his tank, superglue and all...Didn't phase the fish at all..
I tried guppys and they never would live for me
