wasnt there a post around here somewhere, with an ad that was put on craigslist asking for free aquariums? A rather successfully worded ad?

Does anyone know where it is id like to use it if possible, I thought I bookmarked it but I guess I didn't :(

Thanks

Here's the ad:

I'm looking for a bunch of aquariums.

Let me first say that I'm not looking for those from people trying to recoup the massive amount of money they invested in a hobby they no longer are interested in. So, if you have a 30 gallon setup that you want $100 for or a 125 setup that you want $800 for I'm NOT interested.

I'm looking for those aquariums that are taking up space in your house or garage that you no longer have time for and are just tired of looking at and will practically pay someone to get out of your way.

I will offer a fair price based on what you have. For most it will be .50 to .75 per gallon, but if you have something really nice that I want I will likely go higher.

All tanks must not leak or have anything more than incidental, minute chips unless specified. Don't waste your time and mine by not telling me this in advance. ____________ it this one by nolapete?

That's too perfect 8) Did Pete write that, is that how he gets all of those good deals?

if i recall correctly, pete found it somewhere else too.

im gonna use it now, on kijiji, because kijiji for london, is alot better than craigslist for london.

I use....

Will pick up unwanted aquariums and or equipment that you no longer want.

Will also rescue some species of fish that are no longer wanted or have outgrown your tank(s).

This has resulted in 2 29s, 2 55s, 4 20s, 3 stands and misc items in the last 4 minths. All for free, except gas and time to go pick them up.

One word... Brilliant! :)

holy crap, i got replies already lol.

one guy has a 20gal with lid, light heater and filter, never used.

obviously aware i would only pay 50 to 75 cents per gallon, this could work out be a wicked deal on a QT tank. i emailed him asking the make/models and what he was asking for them, so i can at least make him a reasonable offer.

I also recieved this anonymous one lol
F.Y.I if you are getting into tanks you should do your research. A DECENT price is $1.00 PER GALLON but most people charge more. If you can't afford to pay for it, you shouldn't own it!!!

I cant even email the guy back with an educated rebuttle....

yeah, no doubt, I would so report the email! lol, just to be a jerk!
