I STILL haven't found a good fish store yet! I even visited some of the ones on the sticky LFS thread. If I had a reef tank, I would be in heaven. Good selection and great prices. Freshwater fish dept is usually neglected at these stores and limited selection. If anyone knows of any good stores let me know, I am running out of places to try. I would rather not put the names of the ones I have been to on this thread out of respect so let me know my options!

Where do you live in the bay? I live in Pleasant Hill and we have a great huge lfs here who knows what they're doing. Its called "All About Fish"

I live in San Bruno area, where you at?? What kind of fishes, ect you looking for??

Try Dolphin Pet Villiage in Campbell. They get a fairly good selection of fw and the staff is very knowledgeable. If you're closer to the Sunnyvale/Santa Clara/Mtn View area Aquatic Life Forms in Sunnyvale isn't bad. The guy who owns it is a trip, knows a bunch, and has a huge cichlid selection. I've also heard great things about a huge lfs in Fremont, but that is a bit far for me. Can't remember the name right now. Good luck! ~brandy

I am located in fremont....I went to Dolphin Village.....so so I would give it a 5 out of 10. I am looking for a good freshwater fish shop that has a wide selection of fish, both common and unusual ones.....I am not afraid to drive 20 miles to find a good shop.

I have to seriously second the recommendation for Aquatic Life Forms in Sunnyvale. Take 237 to 85 to Fremont Blvd. The guy there is amazingly knowledgable, his fish are in great shape, and he has an absolutely huge selection of freshwater fish and shrimp.

Looks like I found my new LFS to check out for this week. Thanks again guys....:headbang2:

Now are you looking for a good selection or good conditions? There are two fish stores that have amazing selection and wholesale prices, but people say their quality is not good. All of mine have lived so far. They are located in SF and San Bruno if you need other options :P
