Do you have any idea how much those 'stones' weigh??

Look again - no crane! :)

Yeah, I understand.

How did he get that piece of wood underneath that huge block so he could rotate it?

Plus that smaller block that he placed at one end to increase the weight at one side, is still way too heavy for one person to move easily. Looks like it would takes hours to set it up for the first rotation.

Then, everytime before a rotation to keep moving the block in the same direction, he has to move the piece of wood that is underneath the block, and switch that block of stone to the other side, so he can rotate the huge block to move it another foot.

I bet he can move it 3 feet a day at that rate.

Well, next time I need to move my 125 gallon aquarium................................

:D

I've got to check this out in more detail.

If this actually works my crazy butt will have to do something like this.

I can see my wife rolling her eyes at me now while I'm totting huge blocks across the back yard.

thats really cool. I've thought at times that our machines capabilities have made us soft in what we could actually do and it may or may not be any faster now.

cirtainly the cheap route when it comes to moving such mass. wonder if there was a quarying method that made the process similarly as "easy" for obtaining the blocks of sizes that are in say stone henge or the bottom of the pyramid.

wonder what the equipment cost would be if you rented stuff adequate to move similar blocks. definatly more than the few sticks of wood he is working with
