Went on a road trip this weekend, and passed through the new windfarm. Last winter, in December only 1 was up.Now look at it...

This is in Fowler Indiana, central Indiana..

each tower is 235 feet tall...
each blade is 115 feet long.
the rotor daimeter is 245 feet..

1.5 megawatts each.
1.5 million each...

78 total..
so far...

They have some huge wind farms out in CA. Pretty impressive to seem them all working.
 
I don't know how true it is and I'd have to look it up but I've been told it takes 300 square miles of wind farm to equal a 3 square mile nuclear plant.I'll take the nuclear.
 
I live in the UK and on the east coast near where i live we have loads of wind turbines i think they look cool and they produce lot of power if they are positioned in the right places.
 
I love wind turbines. I think they are so beautiful! When I was road trippin it across the country this spring we saw some massive windfarms in Texas. In Delaware we just signed a contract with Bluewater Wind to create the first North American off-shore wind farm.
