LOL Doll.....is that avatar like one of those paper doll things that I vaguely remember from my by gone days ? You know, those paper dolls with paper clothes that have little paper tabs that you bend over the doll to change the clothes...
The glass WAS half full of my coke with some ice, but then my 2 year old got it. She goobered on my straw and backwashed animal crackers into it. Now it's 1/4 full of floaters, coke and ice with spit.....

the glass is half empty when there is something good in it and you want more...
the glass is half full if there is something in there hyou have to drink you don't like...
One cannot work with what isn't there so theoretically the glass would be half full. of course in the big picture the glass is insignificant in all respects except that it keeps said liquid in an easy to observe and use position. Too many folks concentrate on the glass itself rather than the liquid in the glass and thus the philosophical folks can ponder many things by diverting their attention away from the true subject which is of course the liquid not the glass. The question as it has been so pondered for many years is improperly observed and therefore a set answer cannot be determined. If we defy the standard question and focus on the true subject of concern then we can easily see we have x number of liquid units to consume and there remains no question aside from where to aquire more units of liquid should x number not suffice our particular purposes.
Additionally the rapidly changing level of liquid in the glass tends to leave the question of quantity in limbo.
So the question should be why do we focus on the glass when there is liquid to be consumed.
